A Key To Happiness

There was a young man by the name of Scott. He was well to do. He had a trust fund worth several million dollars, a P.H.D in Anthropology and tenure at a world renowned University. He traveled the world. He had a beautiful successful wife who worked as a model.

He had everything any man could possibly dream of. Financial security, a career in his favorite course of study, and a stunningly beautiful wife. And yet he was unhappy. He complained about his wife, pointing out her flaws. He agonised over academic politics, and even argued about how their home should be decorated. In the morning, he’d wake up angry. Scott was getting depressed and anxious. He buried himself in his work to escape.

Scott gets an assignment from the University to live with and study a primitive people who lived in the rain forest. He travels to their village and they greet him. They eat then go to sleep. They wake up and start off in canoes down the river to fish and hunt. While Scott is in the boat, he notices he’s native companions smiling joyfully as they paddled. He asks them why they are so happy, was there a special occasion. The guide responds, “I am happy because I woke up alive this morning.”

It’s not what you have that makes you happy, it’s how grateful you are for what you have.

We Are All One

We are spread across many lands and comprised of many races. Walls of separation divide us and many of us mingle exclusively with those of their likeness.

Our planet and our species can not┬ásurvive, let alone progress, in this state of affairs. Since Earth’s resources are ultimately limited, and our species’ destructive capacity has exponentially advanced, we must come together.

A new day will dawn in which both the physical and emotional barriers between us will be lifted across the globe. This will not come about by a single gunshot, nor any other act of violence, but by the binds of faith upon which we provision ourselves and by the enlightenment of each of us.

Until we make peace with ourselves, we can not survive, let alone transcend.

Believe

Sometimes in life, things can get us down. It seems that we are powerless against the forces of the world. Despair and doubt are the result.

Never give up. Don’t let those naysayers, we all know them, try to tell you that you can’t achieve your dreams. Always believe in yourself, because in the end of the day, you are the one who can propel yourself forward in life.

Confidence is key to every endever, let faith in yourself be the foundation, where thought and action is built up on, to a life of freedom and happiness.

The Awakening

imag0408

Have you ever seen a beautiful sky and thought, “There’s no way that happened randomly.” I have wondered that myself. What if I told you that there’s a good reason for that?

Beauty is beheld by the observer. The observer, with a developed mind, and an empathic heart and spirit, merely sees a reflection of the love of her heart; which is an inseparable part of the cosmos, including what is being observed. It is the Universe becoming self-aware.

A great Awakening is close at hand, a time of vast awareness. During this time, today will seem like the medieval times did to the people of the Renaissance. The Millennial generation will be key to this development. Some people of other generations have and will contribute, but it will be the youth of today who will bring this awakening into being.

Rise up young people, and make a difference. Future generations and the Earth and all her creatures depend on it.

Find True Joy

Addiction to substances and behaviors take their toll. They create in the user a temporary and faux joy. When they wear off, the user needs more to feel as good again, starting an endless, vicious cycle consuming more and more of the user’s time, energy, and life; lowering oneself to a low vibration.

One must ask yourself, “How do I live a better life?” The trick is to find real joy. Joy that results from positive, beneficial activities. Being with the ones you love, exercising, and playing music are some of the many wholesome things we can do in lieu of self-destructive behavior. They harmonize our spirit into a higher vibration. Meditation heals the mind and mimics the soothing effects of most substances and alcohol.

By having inner joy and peace through spiritual growth, one can break the chains of addiction.

Love and Light

Love propagates us. Thought derived from the intention of love hurled the cosmos into being. A mother’s love is as essential to an infant as her nutrition. Love of one’s neighbors provokes us into action to aid those in need.

Light is the fabric of our physical realm. It is energy at its highest vibration. It parts the night and illuminates the truth for all to see. It feeds plant life with energy, so that we may eat. It cleanses and heals.

Together, these are the elements that make up life and our world. By focusing on harnessing and maximizing the benefit of these elements, one can achieve a better life and a better world for all of us.

The Earth

Many problems that affect our planet’s ecosystem arise from the impact of human activities. Arable soil depletion, fresh water shortages, deforestation, and species extinction are a few of the many environmental problems facing us today. Much of that impact is compounded by greed, ignorance, and apathy.

In order to save our world, we must realize that we are part of it. We are made up of the same star dust that makes up the Amazon rain forest, the coral reefs and the Grand Canyon. Our food is grown in Earth’s soil or caught in our planet’s waters. Clean water is just as necessary as electricity in our modern world.

We must realize that the same energy that vibrates through us does so though our surroundings, including the flora and fauna as well. All life on this planet share a common destiny, it’s up to us as to where that destiny takes us.
